August 9, 2004 - "The Cage." A 28 minute documentary directed by Omasr Nazzal. "Reflects the real life stories of Palestinian civilians who have lost their land, their ability to move freely & their access to resources as a result of the construction of what the director call the Colonial Wall being built by Israel within the Palestinian territories. Nazzal thinks that the Wall should be referred to as the 'Colonial Wall' as opposed to the widely used 'Apartheid Wall' because 'the word Colonial more properly reflects the reality of the appropriation of Palestinian land to build the wall & the objective of the building of the wall which isn’t merely for separation.'" "Shows the economic, social & agricultural impacts of the Apartheid Wall on Palestinian Society. Focusing largely on the Tulkarem & Qaliqilya districts, the video details the daily hardships Palestinians face, from destruction of homes & land; the theft of Palestinian resources; locked gates baring farmers from their lands, & children from their schools; as well as the daily humiliations carried out by Occupation forces. In Arabic with English subtitles. If you are interested in seeing the full video, please contact the campaign, and we will put you in touch with the director to order copies. http://www.stopthewall.org/video/713.shtml"
